The Tuques are six piece all original Roots Rock group from the West Kootenays of British Columbia. Their stage show is an explosive display of talent combining hot licks and foot-stomping rhythms. The Tuques have recorded two albums in the past 4 years and are presently working on a third. The Tuques are Canada's 1 "apres ski" band. "There are rippers who rock, and there are rockers who rip. The members of Jamphibian may come and go, the style and sounds may evolve into new forms, but the idea remains the same - to create and enjoy the vibrant, positive energy of music in it's instinctual form. The influences are from amongst many..... Although Jamphibian's influence spans from all ages and genres, our primary influence is that music we hear in our minds. From that comes the will to create great, new music. Jamphibian has a unique sound and we always wish to expand the realms of music in all it's magnificence. We enjoy making an odd-time beat sound so groovy and contemporary that you'd never know the difference.
Our styles include a wide mix of Funk, Rock, Reggae, Jazz and Metal. We use these tools to build new sounds and explore the world of creative music making.
